Repairs are usually in house for 2-3 days,
but we can rush an order if necessary. We warranty our repairs
for 6 months. User abuse is not covered under warranty-obvious
physical damage is a good indication of user abuse. We keep
track of our warranties by the serial number code.
In the event we replace OEM components
in a probe during a repair, we don’t use recycled
parts. We use new parts designed by our in-house engineering
team. They are equivalent to their OEM counterparts in form,
fit and function. We test every finger sensor we repair.
Testing includes evaluation of wiring, LEDs and photodiodes,
as well as a final evaluation on a SpO2 monitor and SpO2
simulator.
How and why do SPO2 probes and cables break? They often
break due to improper or rough handling (often from the
patient). They can break at the connector, the plastic housing,
the cable etc.
We can repair or replace (if necessary)
the SpO 2 probe/cable regardless of its problem. Most hospitals
find that it is more cost-effective to repair their SpO
2 probes & cables rather than replacing them. New SpO
2 probes & cables from the OEM vary-but can cost more
than $250.
Styles of
Probes (choice depends on patient’s body weight, duration
of use, patient activity, infection control concerns)
